ABOUT US
The ZAH Youth Group includes a group of ambitious young Zarathustis that are about to head out into the real world and start lives of their own. Generally, after one’s Navjote is done and they start high school, they are welcomed into the Youth Group. Every month during Sunday School sessions we learn about ancient history, including teachings from the Shahname among various other scriptures. We go back in time reliving each dynasty, experiencing every war, learning about every King. We also study the deeper meanings and translations of our prayers. Students are assigned individual projects and group presentations to do throughout the year.

YOUTH GROUP EVENTS
Sunday School classes will be held every 2nd Sunday of the month from 11:00 am- 12:30 pm. Any changes will be notified in advance through email or Remind 101
JULY
SUNDAY SCHOOL/ ELECTIONS
ON July 10th, we will have Sunday School, and then elections will take place.
JUNE
SUNDAY SCHOOL/ GHAMBAR
On June 12th, we had Sunday School. On June 5th, the youth will help out during the Ghambar led by Shanaya and Roshni.
MAY
SUNDAY SCHOOL/ LUNCHES OF LOVE
Sunday Schoolwas held on May 8th. Also, during this month, youth group participated in Lunches of Love led by Neville and Zal.
APRIL
SUNDAY SCHOOL/ ATASH KADEH CLEANING
This month, Sunday School was held on April 10th. After Sunday School was the Atash Kadeh cleaning led by Shanaya and Mahtab
MARCH
SUNDAY SCHOOL/7 DUDES RANCH
On March 13th, we had Sunday School. Then from the 13th-15th, the you group went to 7 Dudes Ranch which was organized by Freyaan and Roshni.
FEBRUARY
SUNDAY SCHOOL/ LOCK-IN
On February 13th, the youth group had their Sunday School. On February 19-20th, youth group participated in a joint lock-in with the middle group which was coordinated by Mahtab and Natasha D
JANUARY
SUNDAY SCHOOL/ JASHAN-E- SADEH
Sunday School took place on January 9th. On January 29th, youth group helped out during the Jashan-e-Sadeh which was led by Natasha K and Natasha D.
DECEMBER
SUNDAY SCHOOL/ CHRISTMAS PARTY
We had Sunday School on December 12th. Directly after we hosted the Christmas Party which was led by Shanaya and Roshni.
NOVEMBER
SUNDAY SCHOOL
We had Sunday School on November 14th.
OCTOBER
SUNDAY SCHOOL/ BLOOD DRIVE
A blood drive was hosted on October 3rd at ZAH and was led by Zal and Freyaan. We also had Sunday School on October 10th.
SEPTEMBER
SUNDAY SCHOOL/ CARNIVAL
We had Sunday School on September 12. After, the youth group took part in the carnival, and this was led by Roshni and Shanya
AUGUST
SUNDAY SCHOOL/ ELECTIONS
We had Sunday School on August 8th and elections took place after.

WHAT WE DO
We are very much involved in giving back to our community. We love to volunteer our time and effort towards our ZAH Center as we value our memories and hope that our future generations create some of their own. In the past, we have started the tradition of having an annual clean-up for our Youth Room and the Center. We collaborate with the Building Maintenance and Executive Committees to find tasks that need to be done and accomplish as many as we can. For our fundraising events, we have also combined efforts with the Sports Committee and the Entertainment Committee. By working closely with these committees we have gained so much experience and respect for our older generations and hope to follow into their footsteps with the same passion of maintaining our center. In the past few years we have also started to host car-washes throughout the year. Thankfully, with the generosity of our community, we have been very successful at all of our fundraisers. All of the funds we earn are always put towards a cause that ensures our youth a better way to learn about our Zoroastrian faith.
We will continue to perform our three fundamental principles of having good thoughts, speaking good words, and performing good deeds in the hope that the younger generations look up to us as the inspiring leaders of today.
